British Member of Parliament is banned from the Prime Minister's residence after criticising her expensive leather trousers

Nicky Morgan who represents Loughborough constituency in the British parliament drew the ire of political bigwigs when she publicly criticised the Prime Minister, Theresa May for wearing £995 leather trousers. She was banned from attending a meeting at the Prime Minister's official residence by Mrs May's joint chief of staff Fiona Hill.

Swami Sivananda, a monk who claims to be the oldest man alive at 120yrs old says his long life is down to celibacy. He claims he has never had sex. He was born on August 8, 1896, according to details in his passport and is now applying to Guinness World Records to verify his claim as the oldest man alive.

Swift amassed earnings of 170 million US dollars (£137.8m) over the past year. Her earnings are mainly due to her 1989 World Tour raking in a quarter of a billion dollars. US singer, Bob Dylan becomes first song writer to receive Nobel Prize award for Literature

US singer Bob Dylan, has been awarded the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature, becoming the first songwriter to win the prestigious award. The balladeer, artist and actor, is the first American to win since novelist Toni Morrison in 1993. The 75-year-old rock legend received the prize for "having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition"
